So, the last two weeks have been rather busy. I guess that is to be expected with the semester being almost over. I finished the first draft of my thesis proposal last week. I also got about the first half of the actual thesis work finished it has been good.
We also had conference last weekend. Friday before conference Flagship also had a alumni get together. Those of us who could attend (David and family plus Emily and I) got to gorge at Tucanos. It was heavenly. I love that place. Even when you are full you wish you had room to eat more, it just tastes that good.
Conference was fun as well. On Saturday morning those of us in the Chinese house got up and made breakfast together. It sure was yummy. We then watched conference, then Emily, Pasha and I headed down to conference. It was really hard to get to parking, but we made it to the afternoon session just fine.
After the session was over Emily and I walked around town trying to figure out what to eat. Walking was made harder by the fact that the wind was blowing like crazy. Emily had to walk around holding down her dress nearly the entire time. It was really funny. For dinner we settled on a sandwich and cold cereal. It was pretty awesome. Luckily there is this high-tech fancy Harmon's in down town salt lake now. Really, that place is crazy.
After dinner Emily went to spend time with one of her friends while I went to watch conference with my dad. My brother was also there, and so it was fun for us all to be together. After that I picked up Emily and Pasha and took us all home.
Sunday saw more baking before conference as Emily and I made cinnamon roles for breakfast. They were really yummy. After conference the two of us went to go serve at the Food and Care coalition, serving meals to those in need. It was a lot of fun and a good time. After that we made dinner, which turned out really well :) And finally, we went to Orem to watch the session of conference we missed while we were serving. A really good weekend!
This last week was spent doing homework. It is nice that all my classes are wrapping up. I am glad that everything is going so smoothly. On the weekend was Easter. On Saturday I got to go to Emily’s uncle Joel’s house for a dinner. I got to meet all of Emily’s young cousins, and cousins once removed. They are all really cute, and it was wonderful to get to know her family a little better. They are all really nice people.
On Sunday we had Easter dinner with my family, at my aunt Shareen’s. It was really good food, and we even got to do an egg hunt, how fun! We also watched the Living Scripture video He Is Risen. It was a great way to spend Easter!
And that is what I have been up to for the last two weeks. Sorry for not writing last week, and sorry I have nothing more interesting to report on about this week. I hope you all still enjoyed this entry though!
